The capable and deserving, even if lacking means, have the right to reach the highest levels of study. This is what is written in our 1948 Constitution, in Article 34.
In Article 3, the Constitution specifies: It is the duty of the Republic to remove economic and social obstacles which, by limiting the freedom and equality of citizens, prevent the full development of the human person.
IS IT STILL TRUE?

D’Istruzione pubblica is the third chapter of the trilogy on neoliberalism, after PIIGS (on the tragic consequences of austerity in welfare) and Once Upon a Time in Italy – Jakarta is Coming (on the desertification of public healthcare).
This time the film aims to denounce the gradual and lethal process of dismantling public education which, together with public and universal healthcare, is one of the pillars of any society that wishes to call itself civil and democratic.
Federico Greco and Mirko Melchiorre began their collaboration in 2016, when together with Adriano Cutraro they made the documentary film Piigs, a true cinematic phenomenon, starting from the grassroots and reaching hundreds of screenings throughout Italy before being broadcast by Rai and foreign TV channels.
Their journey continued with the documentary film 'Once Upon a Time in Italy - Jakarta is Coming', featuring Roger Waters, Ken Loach, Gino Strada, Vittorio Agnoletto, shown in theaters with over 200 screenings.
Currently, together with Alessandro Pezza (producer), they are the heart of the independent production company Studiozabalik.
